About

Wurrly was founded by Swiss-born German opera singer Nadine Levitt.

The artist has worked with A-list names such as David Foster, Andrea Bocelli, Celine Dion and Steven Tyler.

He was later joined by Andrew Andersen, who worked with Beyoncé and Bon Jovi.

Both put their knowledge and experience to work on a revolutionary LMS that teaches kids life skills based on their love for music.

Wurrly’s main goal is to create a safe environment for kids’ educational development.
Deliver the functional, intuitive and scalable digital solutions that only leading companies can offer.

UX UI Design

With the goal of designing an easy and intuitive UI for children, we relied on Figma.

We handled Java in a lambda function to convert .midi files into JSON and get chords and song lyrics.

Lastly, our team added Stripe plus Clever + Google + MS Teams integrations.

Worth Mentioning: Wurrly has won a CODiE Award for Best Tool for Student Creation or Expression.

Technology

For the front and back ends, we combined TypeScript, React, Node and GraphQL.

This stack works with three Hasura and Remote Schema services to develop, produce and stage the platform for the AWS cluster.

We applied s3 static pages for front-end buckets, PostgreSQL’s database and Docker’s Containerization.

Lastly, we included three DB instances for its DBMS: Dev (T3 micro), Stage (T3 small), and Prod (T3 medium).

Strategy

We make children's safety the number one priority at all stages for all parties.

Teachers cannot send direct invites to kids under 12. Instead, teachers invite parents and get their approval.

While teachers can create tasks and playlists or correct homework, they cannot see children in the app.

Kids cannot log in without an invite. They have specific codes to guarantee access to their respective classes.

We also enhanced stimulation with features like badges and challenges.
